Pearlescent powder is a semi transparent, insoluble wafer like object, and its color is affected by the following factors.
1. Paper color
The same kind of pearlescent ink is printed on two different papers, and the pearlescent color may be different. This is because the paper color affects the original color of the pearlescent powder.

2. The bottom printing color will also affect the effect of pearlescent powder
Before purchasing the pearlescent powder, it must be clear whether there are other background colors affecting the pearlescent powder. If you need to print the pearlescent powder on a background color pattern, you must first consider the color change of the pearlescent powder.

For example, if white pearlescent powder is printed on the crimson pattern, the crimson bottom will fade into a hazy light color, and white pearlescent effect will be seen at 45 °. If it is replaced with red pearlescent powder, it will set off each other, but there are still some changes in the red color. Generally, it is recommended to print pearlescent on the paper first, and then print non pearlescent patterns on it. The effect will be more vivid and perfect.

3. Adding other colors can also change the color of pearlescent powder
In order to save costs, we advocate the use of white pearlescent powder and color ink to mix the required pearlescent color. For example, adding an appropriate amount of primary red ink to white pearlescent powder will produce bright light red. This method can also strengthen the covering power of pearlescent ink and reduce the impact of background color on the pearlescent layer.

4. The color of the diluent itself will also affect the pearlescent effect
The color of the diluent produced by some manufacturers is relatively dark. If the color of the diluent itself is dark, it will affect the effect of the pearlescent surface. The color turns yellow after printing. The yellow effect comes from the quality of the diluent.
